Enzalutamide 40mg is a white crystalline non-hygroscopic solid and easily soluble in water.
Enzalutamide capsules are white to off-white oblong soft gelatin capsules imprinted in black ink and ENZ.
Tablets are yellow, round, film-coated, and debossed with E40.
They belong to androgen receptor inhibitor’s class. It is a designed oral AR inhibitor that blocks the AR signalling pathway and is a competitive binder of androgens at the level of AR.
It prevents the movement of AR from cytoplasm to nucleus and inhibits the AR binding the chromosomal DNA which prevents the transcription of tumor genes.
It is used to treat castration resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) and metastatic castration-sensitive prostate cancer (mCSPC).
It is a harmony therapy and used to kill the advanced prostate cancer cells and given after the chemotherapy and surgery and gives strength to the body in destroying the cancer cells.
It blocks the effects of testosterone and slows the growth/spread of prostate cancer in the body.
