Pirfenidone tablet 200mg is a film coated tablets. It is synthetic pyridone compound that belongs to pyridines group of medicines and the shell of the capsules contains gelatin and titanium dioxide. It is an anti-fibrotic medication.
It inhibits the progression of fibrosis and loss of lung infection via anti-fibrotic, anti-inflammatory, and anti- oxidant properties.
It is predominantly metabolized by cytochrome P450.
